Everlast welders: the current lineup, ratings at 40 C, and a warranty that depends on where you buy
Everlast PowerTIG, PowerARC, PowerPRO and Lightning MTS welders on rated output and input current, the 5 year IGBT warranty, and why the seller matters.
Everlast is the import brand that tig welders on forums tend to name: AC/DC machines with pulse at prices well under the big names, sold mostly from its own site. The documents are strong on output and thin on circuit sizing, and the warranty has one rule that decides everything else.
Everlast rates most of its tig, stick and multiprocess machines at 40 C, the same basis as Lincoln and Miller, and gives 5 years parts and labor on its IGBT welders. But the warranty only applies if you buy from Everlast or an authorized dealer, and Everlast publishes rated input current without a breaker size.
Everlast machines and their input current
From Everlast’s product pages, checked 2026-10-15. Output is the published rating; input is I1max as printed.

The tig machines plug in with a NEMA 6-50 on 240 volts. Everlast does not publish a breaker size on its product pages, with one exception: the PowerTIG 185DV page says a 40 amp breaker and heavier wiring may be needed to run full output on 120 volts. The 120 volt input figures above, 27 to 39 amps on several models, are well past a household 20 amp circuit. Start from welder amp draw and what size breaker a welder needs, and have an electrician size the circuit from the I1max figure.
Everlast’s warranty page itself says its products are intended for professional use and that home wiring may need special additional wiring, and tells buyers to consult a licensed electrician under Article 630 of the National Electrical Code.
Some product pages and older manuals disagree. The PowerTIG 210EXT brochure from December 2022 rates stick at 35 percent where the current page says 60 percent, and the 2017 PowerTIG 255EXT manual gives lower 120 volt output than the current page. We use the current pages and date them.
Which ratings state 40 C
Every PowerTIG, PowerARC, PowerMTS and Lightning page we read states duty cycle at 40 C, the international standard basis, so those figures compare directly with Lincoln, Miller and Hobart. The PowerPRO multiprocess and PowerPlasma pages state no temperature. Why it matters is in welder duty cycle.
The warranty, and why the seller matters
From Everlast’s terms for products sold on or after March 1, 2022, read 2026-10-15:
- 5 years parts and labor on IGBT based welders: the Power series, Cyclone, Storm, Lightning and Typhoon.
- 3 years parts and labor on MOSFET based Super series units.
- 6 months on guns, torches, carts, regulators and accessories packaged with a welder.
- Shipping. Everlast pays return shipping for the first three years of an IGBT unit, or the first year of a MOSFET unit, in the lower 48 states only. Large units including the Lightning MTS 275 and PowerMTS 400 are excluded.
- Report within two weeks of finding a defect, or the claim may be delayed or denied. An RMA is required, and Everlast chooses the service facility.
- Self repair. Everlast may ask you to make simple repairs with a part it ships, and does not pay for that labor.
- Authorized sellers only. The warranty covers new products sold by Everlast or an authorized US distributor or retailer. Everlast says it will give no help, support, refund or warranty to buyers from non-authorized or third party sources, and treats warehouse deals and resold units as used, with no warranty.
- Transfer once, for the balance of the term, without free shipping.

Because of that rule, we do not link Everlast machines on Amazon: we could not confirm that any Amazon seller is authorized, and Everlast publishes no dealer list. Buy from Everlast directly or ask Everlast to confirm a dealer.
Support
Everlast’s technical support runs weekdays, 9 to 5 Eastern, by phone and email, and says it usually returns messages within 24 hours. The live site shows two different toll free numbers for tech support. Manuals, including older versions, are on its product manuals page, and it sells replacement parts. Everlast describes itself as a US based and US owned company in South San Francisco that manufactures off-shore.
